La Liga giants Sevilla have failed in their attempt to recruit Anderlecht winger Andy Najar in the January transfer window, Spanish daily newspaper Estadio Deportivo can reveal.
Los Rojiblancos were eager to sign another attack-minded footballer in the dying moments of the winter transfer window, but they were unable to reach an agreement for any of the four targets.
Having earlier missed out on Keko and Andre Carrillo, Sevilla turned their attention to Dennis Cheryshev, but he ultimately decided to accept an offer from Valencia.
And it has now been revealed that Anderlecht starlet Andy Najar was also on club’s radar, but, once again, los Rojiblancos could not find an understanding with the player’s employers, despite reportedly offering €7 million for the 22-year-old.
The Honduran has largely impressed since joining the Belgian giants from DC United, making a total of 79 league appearances and scoring 11 goals in the process.
