(GSM) – Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido has stated that he does not expect ‘ridiculous’ bid from Milan offer for Luis Fabiano.
The Rossoneri, who tried to sign the prolific striker a year ago but couldn’t agree over his £20m price-tag, have renewed their interest in the Brazil international.
His contract expires in June 2011 and the striker has already stated he does not want a renewal, waiting for a move to either Milan or Manchester United.
“Considering the way the transfer market is at the moment, it’s difficult for us to receive an offer for Luis Fabiano that isn’t ridiculous,” President Del Nido told As.
“I believe that the most likely solution is that he stays on at Sevilla.
“He says he wants to play for a big club like Milan or Manchester United. I put these statements down to the heat that clouds the heads of Brazilians when they leave their cities.
“I would like for Luis Fabiano to renew with Sevilla as soon as possible, signing an extension for another three seasons.”
