Argentine radio station Radio Mitre understands that Boca Juniors striker Dario Benedetto is sitting on the verge of joining La Liga side Sevilla.
The 27-year-old forward is all but set for his first-ever European adventure knowing that Sevilla have already reached a deal with Boca Juniors over an €8 million transfer.
Sevilla representatives have been engaged in advanced negotiations with their Boca Juniors counterparts for several days now and the aforementioned radio station reports that the deal will go through as soon as the Argentine Primera Division draws to a close.
Boca Juniors are currently leading the pack in front of River Plate and Newell’s Old Boys with Dario Benedetto as the top goal scorer with 18 goals to his name in 29 matches across all competitions.
Benedetto started his professional career playing for Arsenal de Sarandi, while he also had spells at Tijuana and America before arriving to Boca Juniors last year in a transfer worth $6 million.
