Europa League holders Sevilla have announced the signing of Uruguayan defender Cristian Gonzalez from Danubio.
The transfer fee was not disclosed, but the player penned a four-year deal and will initially join the club’s reserve side.
Los Rojiblancos have been quite busy in the summer transfer window and it remains to be seen whether the 20-year-old will be their final signing of the summer.
Cristian Gonzalez leaves Danubio FC after spending just one season with the senior side, but he largely impressed in his debut campaign, making 35 appearances across all competitions.
The talented centre-back has also made four outings for the Uruguay Under-20 team, and he is tipped to be handed a senior debut as well in the near future.
After hammering Espanyol 6-4 in their opening La Liga fixture, Sevilla are available at 9/5 to see off Villarreal on the road next time out.
