Europa League holders Sevilla appear to be stepping up interest in Real Madrid starlet Mariano Diaz, Mundo Deportivo has suggested.
Los Rojiblancos are in the market for attacking reinforcements and the Dominican striker seems to be one of their primary targets.
Sevilla transfer guru Monchi believes the 23-year-old would be a very good addition to the squad, and he is determined to bring him to Estadio Deportivo at the earliest opportunity.
With Mariano Diaz making just one substitute appearance in this year’s La Liga and sitting behind Karim Benzema, Alvaro Morata and Lucas Vazquez in the pecking order, there is a chance he will be allowed to leave on loan in January.
After impressing playing for the B side in Segunda B, the striker clearly needs to be playing at a higher level if he is to realise his potential, and chances are a potential switch to Sevilla would appeal to him.
