Spanish giants Sevilla are stepping up their efforts to recruit Rennes defender Joris Gnagnon, according to L’Equipe.
It is no secret that los Rojiblancos are in the market for defensive reinforcements as they could soon stay without Timothee Kolodziejczak.
And while they continue to keep close tabs on Nancy centre-back Clement Lenglet, they have made Rennes’ Joris Gnagnon one of their primary targets.
L’Equipe has learned that Sevilla have submitted an offer just short of €10 million for the 19-year-old footballer, who has only made 16 top flight appearances in his career.
Gnagnon is yet another product of the club’s famed youth academy and he did well to nail down a regular starting berth at Roazhon Park this term.
The talented stopper has impressed in nine Ligue 1 starts this season and he could soon be joining a top European club despite the fact that his current contract runs until June 2019.
