(GSM) – Sevilla are through to the final of the Copa del Rey despite a 1-0 defeat by Getafe in the return leg of the semi finals on Wednesday.
The Andalusians won the first leg 2-0, leaving Getafe with a tough task in the second leg.
Fans at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez were given a bit of hope when Roberto Soldado scored the opening goal for Getafe in the 52nd minute but the second goal that was needed to balance the tie, never came.
Sevilla won the Spanish Cup on four occasions, most recently beating a team none other than Getafe in 2007.
In this year’s final, Sevilla will likely meet with Atletico Madrid who defend a 4-0 lead in Thursday’s second leg against Racing Santander.
