Arsenal are still interested in signing Orkun Kokcu from Feyenoord but they face competition from Sevilla, as reported by Sky Sports.
At the age of only 19, Kokcu has been an important piece of the puzzle for the Dutch side this season. He made a total of 34 appearances, almost all of them from the start, scoring three goals and giving the final helping hand in six more. An attacking midfielder by trade, he is also capable of played in a deeper role and on either side of the pitch.
Arsenal’s interest was first reported back in early March, but even then it was known that they weren’t the only club considering a move for Kokcu. Feyernoord were apparently aware of interest from Everton too, as well as several clubs in other leagues.
Given the amount of attention the Turkish U-21 international has been getting, it’s quite clear he boasts considerable talent.
