La Liga rivals Sevilla and Valencia are locked in the battle for Sporting Lisbon winger Andre Carrillo, El Desmarque can reveal.
The Peru hotshot has a deal until June 2016 at Estadio Jose Alvalade, and he is unlikely to extend his stay beyond the current season.
As a result, Sevilla hope to recruit Carrillo in the January window, but they are unable to offer more than €1.4 million when it comes to the player’s yearly wage.
That could prove to be a deal breaker considering that Valencia are readying a proposal worth €2.5 million per campaign in an attempt to win the chase for the 24-year-old footballer.
Los Che plan to sign the highly rated footballer on a free transfer at the end of the season, but it remains to be seen whether Carrillo will be prepared to wait for over six months considering that he was relegated to the reserves at Sporting Lisbon after refusing to sign a new deal.
