Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport claims that Sevilla have set the asking price for star playmaker Ever Banega to €15 million.
The Argentine midfielder had a deal until the end of the season at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, but club’s sporting director Monchi confirmed the one-year extension had been triggered yesterday as the player made his 30th appearance of the season.
This means that Banega is no longer available on a free transfer and reports suggest that Sevilla are holding out for €15 million.
Italian giants Inter Milan were believed to be close to reaching a deal for the 27-year-old footballer, who has been in excellent form this season.
Banega has scored 5 goals and produced 2 assists in 20 La Liga outings, while he also netted three times on European stage.
The former Valencia hotshot managed to get his career back on track while at Sevilla, and is now being heavily linked with a big club move.
