Sevilla have set their sights on signing Real Madrid starlet Jese Rodriguez, reports Spanish newspaper AS.
Los Rojiblancos are actively searching for a long-term successor to Alvaro Negredo, who looks set to leave Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the summer.
AS reports that Sevilla officials have made Real Madrid’s Jese Rodriguez their number one target, but they are aware that is going to be a very complicated operation.
The 20-year-old has largely impressed playing for Real Madrid Castilla, having scored 21 goals in 36 appearances this season.
As a result, new Real Madrid boss could decide to promote him to the first team set-up, but even if that does not happen, Sevilla will face a stiff competition for the player’s signature.
Jese has already been linked with Bayer Leverkusen and few more high-profile clubs, but los Rojiblancos do seem to have an ace up their sleeve.
Real Madrid are keen on both Jesus Navas and Geoffrey Kondogbia and should they attempt to sign one of them, Jese would probably move in the opposite direction.
