According to a recent report from AS, La Liga side Sevilla have let Liverpool know that they will not be budging on their valuation of defender Diego Carlos.
At this moment in time they want at least £68 million in order to agree to a deal, but given the current climate, it’s not yet known whether or not the Reds are ready and willing to come up with that kind of cash.
Liverpool already have a pretty special defender on their hands in the form of Virgil van Dijk, but there’s no guarantee that any of their other centre-backs will be able to keep up with him as we look ahead to the new campaign.
Sevilla have a fantastic squad on their hands and they’re clearly well aware of that, but they may want to wait until the end of their Europa League adventure before they move further with any potential deals.
