Sevilla will be without defender Julien Escude for a month after he injured himself in the 2-2 draw with Malaga at the weekend. El Mundo Deportivo reports that the Frenchman has torn a muscle in his thigh and will be now be out for at least four weeks.

Escude started the game against Malaga on Sunday but had to be replaced by Adriano, and the Brazilian is likely to step in whilst he is recovering. Whether or not Manolo Jimenez will decide to shuffle the rest of the defence remains to be seen but he does not have many options at the moment.
