AS Roma striker Seydou Doumbia is being linked with a January move to West Ham, according to Izvestia.
The Ivorian centre forward returned to CSKA Moscow on a season-long loan following a disappointing start to his career in Italy and he quickly rediscovered his form in the Russian Premier League.
The 27-year-old netted 11 goals in 17 competitive outings since re-joining the Army Men, so no wonder that the club chiefs hope to turn his loan move into permanent deal.
And while AS Roma wouldn’t mind selling the Ivorian at the earliest opportunity, they reportedly want €20 million for Doumbia.
Recent reports suggest that West Ham may be prepared to match their asking price, but it remains to be seen whether there is any truth in those rumours.
It is fair to say that Doumbia was never given a real chance to impress at Stadio Olimpico, having started mere 6 league games for the Italian giants.
