Valencia midfielder Seydou Keita is hoping to sign a new deal at Mestalla, according to Superdeporte.
The Malian has impressed since returning to La Liga in January and he is perfectly happy to remain with los Che for another season.
However, even if he has already communicated his decision to general manager Francisco Rufete, the veteran midfielder is not yet ready to sign a new deal.
Namely, with the club set to be the subject of a takeover, Keita will only sign a contract extension if the new owners decide to keep hold of Rufete.
The 34-year-old will, therefore, wait until the club takeover is completed before he makes a final decision on his future.
Keita, who had enjoyed five very successful seasons with Sevilla and Barcelona before moving to China, has made a total of 11 La Liga appearances for Valencia this term and scored one goal in the process.
