Shakhtar coach Mircea Lucescu has revealed that the club have contacted Brescia regarding the transfer of Alessandro Diamanti.
The Romanian coach is in Italy and he had dinner with Brescia president Gino Corioni last night.
“I have been tracking Alessandro Diamanti for a year and we are discussing him with Brescia,” Mircea Lucescu told Radio Sportiva.
“I like Diamanti a lot and have been tracking him for a year.
“Will we sign him? I don’t know, we’ll have to see how the situation evolves.
“As for Brescia, we are talking about Diamanti, but also other players.”
With several Shakhtar players followed by big European clubs, Mircea Lucescu is already looking for replacements, and Alessandro Diamanti should be available at a cut-back price seeing that Brescia have just been relegated to Serie B.
