Shakhtar Donetsk is set to complete the signing of Sporting Braga defender Ismaily Goncalves dos Santos, O Jogo has revealed.
With long-serving defender Razvan Rat out of contract in the summer, the Ukrainian giants have been looking to sign a long-term replacement for the Romanian.
They seem to have succeeded in their quest, with O Jogo reporting Shakhtar have struck a deal to sign Ismaily from Sporting Braga.
The Miners have agreed to pay €4.5 million for the player’s rights, with 70% of the fee going to the Portuguese club and the rest payable to Brazilian sports marketing agency Traffic.
According to the Portuguese newspaper, the deal will be officially announced later today.
Ismaily, 23, only arrived at Braga last summer, but impressive showings in Primeira Liga and Champions League have not gone unnoticed.
The Brazilian featured in all six group games for the Portuguese club, while making another 12 league appearances this season.
