Shanghai & Man United continue Ighalo talks

Shanghai Shenhua are open to the possibility of Manchester United extending their loan deal with forward Odion Ighalo beyond the summer, according to a recent report from Sky Sports.

A few days ago it appeared as if all hope was lost, with reports indicating that Ighalo would be making his way back over to China with a new contract waiting for him. Then, it was said that the Red Devils were pretty calm about the whole situation.

Now, we face another U-turn with the aforementioned Shanghai Shenhua being open to letting Ighalo stay at Old Trafford. United are in fairly constant talks with the club over the potential of making some kind of deal happen, and it’s not hard to see why they want it so badly given how well Ighalo was doing prior to the lockdown.

It may seem unlikely, but Ighalo staying in Manchester could still be on the cards.
