Shaw wants Man United move
BBC Sport is reporting that Southampton starlet Luke Shaw has expressed his desire to join Manchester United this summer.
The England international informed club chiefs a month ago that he wanted to move to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United had earlier submitted a £27 million bid for his services, but the Saints have stalled the offer until they appoint a new manager.
While they cashed in on Rickie Lambert, Southampton will wait until a new boss is appointed before they decide on the futures of Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana.
England manager Roy Hodgson has asked his players to sort out any potential moves before the World Cup starts as he wants them to be fully focused on task ahead.
The Three Lions indeed face an uphill task in Brazil as witnessed by odds of 4/7 offered on England to qualify for the knockout stages.
Porto eyeing Liverpool’s Suso
FC Porto are stepping up their efforts to sign Spanish midfielder Suso from Liverpool, reports O Jogo.
The Dragons boss Julen Lopetegui knows the player well having coached him for several years in Spain’s youth sides and he is eager to lure him to Estadio do Dragao this summer.
Seeing as how Suso’s deal at Anfield is due to expire in less than a month, he will be available on a free transfer.
The 20-year-old has shown a great deal of potential during his debut season with the Reds, making a total of 14 Premier League appearances in the 2012/2013 campaign.
He then spent last season on loan at Almeria, where he enjoyed a very good campaign, having managed 3 goals and 7 assists in 33 La Liga outings.
Suso is currently a member of Spain Under-21 side, and he is predicted a bright future in the game.
Benfica close on Milan starlet
Benfica are on the verge of signing AC Milan midfielder Bryan Cristante, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The Eagles had a €4 million bid rejected for the 19-year-old footballer, but it is believed they are very close to matching the Rossoneri’s valuation of the player.
Namely, AC Milan officials have decided to cash in on their hot prospect as they need the money to turn Adil Rami’s loan move into permanent deal and they are holding out for mere €5 million.
Chances are that Benfica will increase their offer to meet the asking price and complete the signing of one of Europe’s hottest prospects.
Bryan Cristante has already shown plenty of potential and he went on to score one goal in three Serie A appearances this term.
He was handed his Champions League debut back in 2011 and is currently playing for the Italy Under-19 side.
