Shearer out of the Newcastle running?

With Newcastle in the market for a new manager it is inevitable that their old favourite, Alan Shearer, will again be heavily linked with the job.

This time however, it would appear that he has quickly ruled himself out of the running after saying that he wouldn’t be able to work with a system that didn’t allow him the control of buying new players.

I’m sure his comments won’t totally end the speculation but he is very unlikely to take the job.

It has to be said that with the current set up and team, he would be mad to take on what will be a very poisened chalice until the whole club sorts itself out.
