Sheffield United 10/11 to beat Brentford in Tuesday’s Championship showdown

Competition: Championship

Market: Sheffield United win

Odds: 10/11 @ Bet 365

With the chance to potentially climb back into the automatic positions, Sheffield United will host Brentford at Bramall Lane on Tuesday.

Starting with Chris Wilder’s side, picking up a 2-0 win over Rotherham on Saturday and extending their unbeaten run to eight games, the mood in Sheffield United’s camp couldn’t be any higher. Now sat just two points adrift of Leeds in the race for automatic promotion, a huge part of the Blades’ push has been down to their continued defensive stability. Keeping another clean sheet over the weekend, United have now remarkably now gone over 450 minutes without conceding a single goal. More impressive, Wilders side have not conceded a Championship goal at Bramall Lane in 2019.

As for the visitors, while Brentford may have picked up a 2-1 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday, their form away from Griffin Park has been a concern this season. The Bees have remarkably recorded just a pair of away victories all season and have lost three of their last four matches on the road. Now sat six points adrift of the playoff positions, Thomas Frank’s side also slipped to a 2-0 loss in their last appearance in Sheffield last month. Shipping three when the two sides met back in November, we’re backing a similar result on Tuesday night.
