Sheffield United 3/5 to beat Hull in Saturdays Championship clash

Competition: Championship

Market: Sheffield United win

Odds: 3/5 @ Bet 365

Enjoying a very impressive start to the new season, Chris Wilders’ side will look to carry on their unbeaten record when they host a struggling Hull side on Saturday.

After a summer of ins and outs at Bramall Lane, Sheffield United have transformed into a real contender in the race for a playoff position. Sat level on points with Leeds and Middlesbrough, the Blades are now unbeaten in their last four Championship outings. Winning their last three on the bounce, one man to watch will be 32-year-old Billy Sharp. United’s longstanding captain grabbed both goals in their 2-0 win over Blackburn on Wednesday and now sits second in the Championship’s goalscoring charts. Unbeaten in their last four matches at Bramall Lane, they have also scored nine goals in that unbeaten run at home.

As for Nigel Adkins’ Hull side, while they may have managed to avoid relegation last season, the signs are that the Tigers are once again going to face a tough year. Coming off the back of a 1-0 loss against Leeds in midweek, Hull are now without a win in their last four, losing three of those outings. Along with a woeful showing in their 3-0 loss away at Reading in their last match on the road, the visitors also hold the second worst defensive record in the Championship. Given the gulf in class, we’re backing another tough afternoon for Adkins’ side.
