Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster is obviously attracting much attention these days. Having scored 10 goals in 20 Championship appearances on loan at Swansea City in the second half of 2019/20, he also impressed playing for his parent club in the pre-season friendlies.
However, the 20-year-old striker is aware that his chances of getting regular game-time at Anfield this season look very slim with Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi all ahead of him in the pecking order. For that reason, he apparently isn’t opposed to the idea of moving elsewhere to help further his development.
According to Sky Sports, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace have now joined the race for his signature, which is being contested by no less than six Premier League clubs. Aston Villa were reportedly the first to make inquiries and for a while it seemed they would have Newcastle United for competition, but the Magpies have cooled their interest following the arrival of Callum Wilson from Bournemouth.
On the other hand, Liverpool still haven’t made a decision on whether they would allow Brewster to leave. If they opt to sell, they are expected to demand an inclusion of a buy-back clause into any deal.
