Sheffield United are interested in signing Joe Worrall from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that the Blades, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League, have opened talks with Forest over a deal for the defender.
TEAMtalk has reported that United manager Chris Wilder is a big admirer of Worrall and views him as a player who would help his side get back up to the Premier League. The 27-year-old former Rangers loanee is himself keen on a move to the Blades.
Worrall spent the second half of last season on loan at Besiktas. The Turkish club, though, have decided not to sign the former England Under-17 international centre-back on a permanent deal. Worrall has made 37 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has scored one goal and given six clean sheets in those games.
