Who knew last year that when Sheffield United had joined the Premier League, they would be so much fun and also so successful. In their first season back, Chris Wilder has managed to make Sheffield United look very good in all departments, making them a strong side hard to beat no matter the opponent. For a nice chunk of the campaign, they also stood in fifth place of the Premier League standings and now that they have seen how good they could become, they are ready to keep their main stars at the club.
The Blades are deep in their talks with a host of players, as they want to keep the majority of the squad that has served them so well this season. The Sheffield Star are reporting that high on Wilder’s list of players to retain John Egan. The centre-back has been linked with a move to Wolves and he has been one of the crucial names in Wilder’s team.
Also, midfielder John Lundstram has been phenomenal and wing-back Enda Stevens has been very consistent, too, which makes them targets for fresh deals at Bramall Lane.
