Jonathan Leko looks set to leave West Bromwich Albion in the summer transfer window, with Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City interested in the forward, according to The Express & Star. It has been reported that Championship duo Wednesday and Birmingham’s bids of £1 million have been accepted by West Brom, who won automatic promotion to the Premier League for the 2020-21 campaign.
West Brom manager Slaven Bilic is an admirer of Leko, but the club and the player have decided that it is best for all parties concerned that he moves on and finds a new team this summer. The 21-year-old has been on the books of the Baggies his entire professional club football career so far, but the forward has made only a handful of appearances for the first team.
The England Under-20 international spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Bristol City and the first half of last season on loan at Charlton Athletic before going back to West Brom due to injury.
