Sheffield Wednesday to score over 1.5 goals against Luton Town 5/6 for Tuesday’s Championship matchup

Competition: Championship

Market: Sheffield Wednesday to score over 1.5 goals

Odds: 5/6 @ Bet 365

With their sights firmly set on securing a play-off spot this time around, Sheffield Wednesday will welcome a returning Luton to Hillsborough on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, although Sheffield Wednesday may have suffered a surprise 1-0 loss away at Millwall over the weekend, new boss Lee Bullen will have plenty of positives to take away from his sides start to the season. Opening the new campaign with back-to-back victories over Barnsley and Reading, fans around Hillsborough are dreaming of securing a top-seven finish come May. Glad to make a return to home soil in midweek, the former Owls defender will be growing most pleased by his sides form at Hillsborough. Including their 2-0 victory over Barsnely on the opening weekend, Wednesday have remarkably lost just a pair of home matches in 2019.

As for the visitors, although the mood in Luton’s camp would have been on a high after running away with the League One title last season, there have been some worrying signs at Kenilworth Road. Coming off the back of a 2-1 loss at home to West Brom over the weekend and still looking for their first second-tier victory since making their Championship return, the Hatters know there are some glaring defensive issues that need resolving. Graeme Jones’ men have shipped seven goals in their opening three matches and could be destined for a relegation scrap this year.
