Andriy Shevchenko admits he missed AC Milan during his time at Premier League side Chelsea.
The Ukrainian striker is desperate to win back the Rossoneri fans by getting back to his best form.
Sheva scored the only goal of the match in AC Milan’s win over Zurich.
“Everyone was so happy after the game against Zurich and my team mates and coach made me so many compliments. The players wanted me to score and they did all they could and the goal came at the right moment,” Shevchenko told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“The environment here at Milan is fantastic and you live well here. I have been working really hard in training and I know that I still need to work hard to get back on form.
“I was away from here for two years and now I need to win back the fans. The Milan faithful have always been so passionate towards me. The goal in Zurich is just the start and I am going to do my best to win them back.
“I have missed calcio in these past two years and I have grown even more hungry and the will to win and play for the team is more than ever.”
