Sky Sports News HD is reporting that Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi.
Los Blancos have been looking at a number of centre-backs as they prepare for the possible departure of Sergio Ramos.
And after expressing interest in Valencia’s Nicolas Otamendi, Real Madrid appear to be keen on his defensive partner Shkodran Mustafi as well.
Just like the Argentine, the 23-year-old only joined los Che last summer, but he in turn impressed in his maiden La Liga campaign.
Mustafi started 33 league fixtures, scoring 4 goals in the process, and formed one of the best defensive partnerships in the top flight with Otamendi.
The Goodison Park graduate has enjoyed a meteoric rise of late, having helped Germany lift the 2014 World Cup title before moving to Valencia.
Mustafi is now being linked with one of world’s most famous clubs and this speaks volumes about his performances of late.
