Martin Jol has said that would be happy to offer Steve Sidwell a new two-year deal at Craven Cottage, according to Four Four Two.
The 30 year old has played every minute of Fulham’s Premier League campaign so far, and scored his second goal of the season in superb fashion against Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
The Cottagers have a policy that sees the club rarely offer players over 30 deals longer than one year, though they seem ready to make an exception for the former England U21 international.
Having failed to make an appearance for Arsenal, Sidwell moved to Reading in 2003 having had loan spells with Brentford and Brighton and Hove Albion.
Spells at Chelsea and Aston Villa followed, before he landed in West London in January 2011.
The midfielder is priced at 17/2 to get on the score sheet when Martin Jol’s men travel to Southampton on Saturday evening.
