(GSM) – Aston Villa midfielder Steve Sidwell is reportedly in advanced talks over a January move to West Ham United.
Sidwell, who is currently on the sidelines treating an Achilles injury, was recently told to find a new club by Villa boss Gérard Houllier.
The 28 year-old’s contract is set to expire at the end of the current season and Villa are keen to offload him when the winter transfer window opens.
Meanwhile West Ham, who are stuck at the bottom of the Premier League table, are determined to bolster their squad in January.
Hammers boss Avram Grant had expressed his hope that the club’s board would provide him with £10million to spend.
