Hoffenheim midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson is set to follow boss Brendan Rodgers to Anfield, The Mirror understands.
The Icelandic playmaker had agreed a £6.8 million switch to Swansea at the end of the season, but he then changed his mind when it was revealed boss Brendan Rodgers would be joining Liverpool.
The talented manager has since managed to persuade the player to snub the Swans for Liverpool and the Mirror claims it is only a matter of time before the player will join the Reds.
Sigursson recently confirmed that he wouldn’t be signing for Swansea this summer, thus adding fuel to speculations linking him with a move to Anfield.
The 22-year-old has largely impressed during his loan stint at Liberty Stadium, scoring 7 goals in 18 Premier League games.
However, even though a deal has been agreed for him to make his loan move permanent, the player now looks set to join Liverpool instead.
