Silva on Tom Davies’ Everton future

“It’s really important for everyone to understand he is only 20 years old. He’s not often been in the starting XI, but it doesn’t mean we’re not happy with him. He’s working every day to help the team and he’s a very good football player.”

“He started some games as a captain which was a fantastic feeling for him. I took that decision with Tom first because of his number of years with our club, and even though he is young, he is a professional.”

Those are the words of Everton manager Marco Silva, who has made it clear that Tom Davies has a big future at the club. The youngster signed a new four year contract with the Toffees that is set to keep him on the book until the summer of 2023, although as you can probably imagine, more teams will almost certainly be sniffing around if he can continue to keep up this kind of pace.
