Club Atlético de Madrid midfielder Simão pulled his right thigh muscle in Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat by Real Betis Balompié and will be out of action for three weeks.
The 28-year-old Portuguese international has scored seven goals in 28 league appearances in his first season at the Estadio Vicente Calderón after joining from SL Benfica last summer. Atlético are fourth in the Primera División with 54 points.
