Simeone plays down Dybala links

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone and Juvetus player Paulo Dybala have been spotted at the same restaurant in Madrid. This naturally sparked all sort of speculation, with some reports going as far as to claim a five-year deal had been agreed to take the player to the Wanda Metrpolitano stadium this summer.

But Simeone has moved to quash those rumours, according to Sky Sports, saying that the meeting happened by pure chance, nothing more. Apparently, he was eating alone there, and Dybala was at another table with a couple of friends.

They did speak to each other however. Simeone told his young compatriot that he considered him a fine player, but that was as far as it went.

Simeone also expressed his displeasure with media outlets coming up with false claims, saying that there are reporters who do a good job and others who fail to do so, and added that seeing information reported correctly makes him happy.
