Juventus striker Simone Zaza failed to impress since joining West Ham on loan this summer and the Hammers have reportedly contacted Serie A outfit Napoli about a possible deal.
The Italian club are looking for a replacement for their injured forward Arkadiusz Milik and Zaza is believed to be one of the names Aurelio De Laurentis is considering ahead of the January transfer market.
Napoli are also keen on Genoa’s Leonardo Pavoletti.
West Ham however are reportedly ready to offer £22.5 million and Simone Zaza for Manolo Gabbiadini and Il Mattino reports that Partenopei are considering the offer.
Slaven Bilic is hoping that an upfront fee and direct replacement Zaza would be enough to persuade Partenopei to do business with West Ham this winter.
Zaza has made seven Premier League and 2 EFL Cup appearances for West Ham this season but is yet to score a goal.
West Ham paid £5 million for the 25-year-old Italian in August and are required to fork out additional £20 to make the deal permanent, which could become mandatory should the striker go on to make ten appearances this season.
