Juventus striker Simone Zaza is seriously considering an offer from Premier League giants West Ham, according to his father.
The Hammers and Wolfsburg are believed to be locked in the battle for the Italy international, but the English side appear to have the upper hand.
Despite traveling to Germany to consider an offer from the Wolves, Zaza will not be moving to Bundesliga, having been disappointed by the terms offered by Wolfsburg.
“Simone went to Germany with his friend to see the situation in person, but we found on the table a different contractual proposal to the one we’d been promised,” Zaza’s father Antonio told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“It was a long way off our expectations. It’s unlikely the matter can be re-opened with these conditions.”
Meanwhile, the striker is tempted by the prospect of joining West Ham, although Juventus will have a say in the deal as well.
“West Ham are a solution we’d appreciate and represent something more concrete. We’ll have to see what Juventus do and expect news soon.
“We are taking London into serious consideration as his next destination. Simone still has four years on his contract and would happily remain in Turin to give his contribution.
“Juventus don’t want to sell Simone to a direct rival. Milan, Napoli and Roma would be the options, we’ll see what happens.”
Simone Zaza is eager to leave the Bianconeri in search of first team football with Gonzalo Higuain having joined from Napoli.
Despite struggling for regular playing time last season, the Italy international impressed every time he was called upon, so the heavy interest in his services is by no means a surprise.
