Sint-Truiden lose at Zulte-Waregem

(GSM) – Sint-Truiden wasted the chance to move into third place in the Belgian Championship group, losing 1-2 in a home match with Zulte-Waregem.

After Club Brugge’s defeat a day earlier, Sint-Truiden had the opportunity to climb a spot with only champions Anderlecht and second-placed Gent ahead.

But Ernes Nfor put Zulte-Waregem in the lead in the 11th minute and although an own goal from Miguel Dachelet levelled things in the 22nd, Nfor had the final say just before the break, 1-2.

As such, Sint-Truiden remain in fourth place but the gap with Brugge is only two points. Gent are another point ahead.
