Swiss side Sion are showing interest in Pablo Aimar and Mladen Petric, La Gazzetta dello Sport has revealed.
Controversial owner Christian Constantin is looking to turn the club into genuine title contenders and is hoping to lure several high-profile signings to Stade de Tourbillon.
The first name on his hit-list is Argentine star Pablo Aimar, who has been a free agent since his contract at Benfica experied in June.
The 33-year-old is reportedly on the verge of joining Malaysian side Johor, but Sion are hoping to hijack the bid for Aimar at the last minute.
Meanwhile, the Swiss side have offered a contract to Croatian striker Mladen Petric, who is also unattached after his short spell at Fulham came to an end.
Petric has already rejected offers from Grasshopper and Zurich, but he is still considering proposals from Young Boys, Sion and another Swiss club.
The 32-year-old has done pretty well since joining Fulham last summer, scoring 5 goals in 23 Premier League appearances.
