Sion are still hopeful of being reinstated to the Europa League, producing a new court order demanding a response from UEFA by noon on Monday.
The Swiss club were denied a place in the group stages of the competition after fielding ineligible players in their play-off against Celtic, with the Scottish club taking their place in Group I.
On Tuesday, the side’s case was boosted by news a Swiss civil court had ruled they should be allowed back into the Europa League.
UEFA has refused to budge on their decision, and announced they would wait for the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to rule on the matter.
Nevertheless, Sion have announced the details of the new court order on their website.
“Given the provisional measure of October 5, given the application and the enforcement measures filed by Olympique des Alpes SA (Sion) on October 13, given the advisory letter of the Union of European Football Associations on the same day, and given the extreme urgency with regard to the conclusion of a query, the deputy judge of the civil court of the Tribunal cantonal:
“I. Orders the Union of European Football Associations to communicate to Olympique des Alpes SA (Sion) between now and Monday October 17 at 12:00 the measures it has take to integrate (Sion) in Group I of the Europa League 2011/2012.”
“II. Orders that the costs of this decision follow the destiny of the application and enforcement measures.”
“III. Declares the present order immediately enforceable.”
The letter is signed by Judge Dominique Carlsson and clerk Coralie Jacot.
