Manchester United have reignited their interest in Gareth Bale and Franck Ribery after their bids for the pair were rejected last summer.
Wayne Rooney’s recent outburst has provoked the Glazers to made around £50 million available for the next transfer window with the amount set to be used on just two players.
United had their bids for the two players rejected last summer but they are ready to have another go and are reportedly prepared to offer £22 million for Bale and another £30 million for Ribery.
Sir Alex Ferguson, however, faces a stiff competition for both players as Gareth Bale is widely tipped to join Inter, especially after his hat-trick at Giuseppe Meazza, whereas Real are also keen on Ribery.
