“I never thought of leaving. It [the first season] gave me the desire to do well. I have a winning mentality. It has been like that throughout my career”.
Those are the words of Moussa Sissoko, who has made it known that he did not consider the possibility of quitting Tottenham Hotspur following a tough first season with the club. Sissoko has long since been viewed as a player that has done well just to even get into the starting XI of Spurs’ line-up, based on the fact that he can be incredibly inconsistent. You never quite know what you’re going to get one way or another from him, which is why so many people thought it was a valid possibility for him to leave Tottenham.
In the end he stuck it out and will continue to try and make a difference within the squad this season and beyond, whatever that is worth.
