According to a recent report from Fabrizio Romano, Inter Milan will not be selling Milan Skriniar to Tottenham Hotspur on Deadline Day.
A bid of €35 million was initially turned down and with no fresh bid being put forward, it does appear as if this potential deal is now dead in the water. Spurs were hoping to bring in another defensive option before the window shut but it doesn’t seem as if that’s going to happen with Inter choosing to keep hold of him – for now.
Jose Mourinho has been turning a corner as Tottenham manager in recent weeks and with the signing of Gareth Bale, it does feel like he’s winning over the Spurs fans. They aren’t going to turn into title contenders overnight, though, and they’ll have to reassess their options in January if they’re still having problems at the back by the time that transfer window rolls around.
