(GSM) – Thursday’s Czech Cup clash between Slavia Prague and local rivals Sparta ended in a narrow win to the home side.

The Czech Cup has reached its quarter final phase with a highly anticipated capital city derby on the schedule.

The only goal in this game came after just 15 minutes and was scored by Milan Cerny. This gives Slavia a potentially deciding lead when the two sides meet again for the second leg next week.

In other quarter final first legs, Sigma Olomouc beat Slovan Liberec 0-2, Viktoria Plzen defeated Pribram 1-0 and Jablonec earned a 1-3 win at Teplice.
