Slovenian skipper joins Hull City

Slovenian football captain Robert Koren has joined Championship outfit Hull City on a free transfer. The 29 year old has signed a two year contract with the Tigers, with a further option for a year.

Koren was a free agent after being released by West Bromwich Albion at the end of the 09/10 season. He was also being tracked by Italian clubs Chievo and Cesena.

Koren started his career with Dravograd and also played for Celje in his native Slovenia before joining Norwegian side Lillestrom in 2004.

Koren has been handed the No.22 shirt at Hull and could make his debut this weekend against Swansea.
