Smalling set for Manchester United exit

Chris Smalling is set to be sold by Manchester United this summer, according to the Telegraph.

West Ham United, West Bromwich Albion and Everton have all been linked with a move for the centre-back, who featured in less than half of his side’s Premier League fixtures last season.

The twenty-seven year old started just thirteen times under Jose Mourinho as they secured a sixth place finish though he was a regular in the cup competitions and played the entirety of the victories in both the EFL Cup final and the Europa League final.

As well as those two triumphs, Smalling has won two Premier League titles and the FA Cup since arriving at Old Trafford from Fulham in the summer of 2010.

He has been capped thirty-one times for England, with the last of those outings coming on Saturday afternoon as Gareth Southgate’s side drew 2-2 with Scotland at Hampden Park.
