Smalling upset with Manchester United

According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Chris Smalling is disappointed in Manchester United’s inability to come to terms on a deal with Roma.

The defender enjoyed a successful loan spell over in Italy with the Serie A giants and ever since then, fans have been wondering whether or not he would be able to secure a full time move away from the Red Devils. United, at one stage, seemed to be very interested in that prospect, but something fell apart along the way.

Roma will clearly try and go back in for him to ensure they can try and strengthen their squad as much as possible between now and the end of the summer transfer window, but United have been stubborn on matters like this in the past.

Italian football clearly suits Smalling’s style more so than English football right now, and he deserves the chance to continue proving that.
