Poland boss Franciszek Smuda believes Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski is good enough to play for Manchester United.
Dortmund have already lost Japanese star Shinji Kagawa to United so far this off-season, and Smuda predicts ‘Lewy’, and his Dortmund team-mates Lukasz Piszczek and captain Jakub Blaszczykowski could follow him overseas.
“In my opinion, in a moment they will be gone from Borussia (Dortmund),” Smuda told Reuters.
“‘Lewy’ is going to Manchester United, Kuba (Blaszczykowski) also somewhere in England, (Lukasz) Piszczek to Real (Madrid).
“They have a goal and they want to grow. I base the squad on them.”
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was spotted at Dortmund’s 5-2 DFB-Pokal win over Bayern Munich last month, in which Lewandowski netted a hat-trick.
The Pole scored 22 goals in the Bundesliga last term.
United had also been linked with a move for Dortmund’s Mat Hummels, only to see the centre-back pen a new long-term contract last week.
