A report from Talk Sport suggests that Manchester United have not given up hope of signing Wesley Sneijder from Inter Milan.
Sir Alex Ferguson could make the move for the Dutch international in the January transfer window and is set to offer Nani to the Serie A side as part of a swap-deal.
Ferguson has been a long time admirer of Sneijder and has tried to bring him to Old Trafford in the past, but has not been able to lure him away from the San Siro.
With Inter not currently playing in the Champions League though, the playmaker could consider his options in the New Year.
It also seems as though the United boss is happy to let Nani leave the club. Apart from scoring the first goal in their English Premier League defeat to Tottenham over the weekend, Nani has been in poor form for the Red Devils this campaign.
Add that to the reports that the Portuguese international has had a fall-out with a youth team player, then it looks as though Nani could be heading to Inter.
Ferguson is set to want this to be a straight swap-deal, but many believe he will need to offer some cash as well as Nani to secure Sneijder’s services.
