Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho stated on Monday that Wesley Sneijder wouldn’t be fit on time to play against Dynamo Kiev, but today it was announced the Dutchman will be part of the match selection for the crucial Champions League match. The playmaker has recovered from a thigh injury that kept him sidelined for a week.
Sneijder picked up a muscle strain a week ago and wasn’t able to play against Palermo and Livorno last week. The doctors expected he wouldn’t recover on time to face Dynamo Kiev, tomorrow night.
“He worked with our physiotherapist but I don’t think he will play against Kiev,” said Mourinho on Monday.
A day after this statement, it seems Sneijder already feels much better and he’s part of the match selection. The same goes for Thiago Motta and Sulley Muntari, who also return from their injuries.
Inter will have to give their best on Wednesday, considering their bottom position.
